Every May-June, by decision of the Assembly of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly, the call for expressions of interest to participate in the PMS "CURRENT PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PEDIATRIC DISEASES" is announced.
Following a Recommendation of the Coordinating Committee (CO) of "CURRENT PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PEDIATRIC DISEASES", the Postgraduate Student Selection Committee (MSSC), which consists of at least 3 members, is appointed. The EEMF undertakes the evaluation of the candidates for Master's Students and ranks them in order of success. The final selection is made by the Assembly of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly after a proposal by the EEMF and the SE of the PMS
The selection process for Postgraduate Students (MS) takes into account the candidates' special qualifications, as evidenced by the supporting documents submitted to the Secretariat of the P.M.S. and candidates' performance during an oral interview if requested by the Graduate Student Selection Committee.
The criteria are graded on a scale from 0 to 100, and each candidate is credited with a specific number of points. S.E., in cooperation with the Selection Committee (SC) of the candidates, evaluates and shortlists the candidates based on the overall rating (on a scale of 1 – 100) in the following criteria:
• General Degree Grade x 2 (up to 20 points)
• Recognized professional experience, which is proven by certificates or insurance company attestations. Years of work x 1 (up to 20 points)

The list of successful (selected) candidates is validated by the Assembly of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly.
An objection against the tables of successful and runner-up postgraduate students can be made within 7 working days from the date of announcement of the tables. The objection, which must be reasoned and specific, is finally judged by the Assembly of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly.
The successful candidates should register at the PMS Secretariat within fifteen (15) days of the Assembly's decision.
In the event of a tie, all candidates who tie are accepted as surplus (the maximum number of tie votes is 10 people).
If one or more students do not register, the runners-up will be invited to register in the PMS based on their order in the approved evaluation table.
